I bought a box of Crest Whitestrips Premium after I’ve been through the different reviews on Epinion, and because someone I know tried it and, even if she wasn’t able to finish the treatment because of pain, she still find that there were a difference.

Even if I never smoked or drink coffee in my whole life, my husband told me he finds that my canines where yellowish. I actually find that too, so I just told myself I should try it.

The kit is good for 7 days, and the strips should be used twice a day for 30 minutes. The strips come in two lengths to fit the upper and the lower teeth.

It was written that I should avoid contact of the gel on my gums, but it is really hard to achieve that. If I pull the strips down on my upper teeth, only the lower of my teeth would be bleached. So for the whole treatment, my gums were partially covered with the strips.

I decided to start with my upper teeth only, in order to compare and see if there were a difference after 7 days.

The first treatment was OK, so I decided to do another strips right after. I never felt any pain on my teeth, like other commentary on this website. But it was another story for my gums. They got very sensible, red with white bubbles. Every time I was applying a new strip, I could feel the pain for the first 10 minutes. I had a hard time brushing my teeth for 2 weeks after the end of the treatment. I felt that my gums where falling apart, but I decided to finish the treatment, since many people seems to be satisfied at the end.

Beside the fact that the strips could not fit everybody’s mouth, the taste of peroxide wasn’t too bad. Make sure you wash your hands after touching the strips, or you might feel pain on your fingers.

It was the longest 7 days of my whole life, and every day, after the last strip, I was hopping to see a difference with my lower teeth. The ad states that I should see a difference after 3 days, but there were no difference for me. Guess what, after the whole seven days, I barely saw a difference. I was expecting so much more, especially with all the pain I tolerate. My teeth are the same tint than my lower untreated ones.

I decided to call to have a refund with the guarantee. The person with whom I spoke at Crest Canada was very nice, but she was surprise that there was no difference, and she was also surprised with the pain I had. I will receive my money in a few weeks, but for now, I’m taking an appointment with a dentist to get my gums checked… and my tooth beached!
